Smash-and-grab awareness in Diepsloot

Diepsloot police hand out flyers to raise awareness about smash-and-grabs and urged motorists to hide valuables in their vehicles.


Diepsloot police held a smash-and-grab crime prevention campaign on Summit Road in Diepsloot, Ext 2.

Pamphlets with safety tips were distributed to motorists and they were urged not to drive around with visible valuables in their vehicles.

“Items like laptops, cellphones, handbags and cash attracts the criminals,” said Constable Jenny Morata. She added that valuables should be placed where they cannot be spotted by criminals.
