Book Day celebrated the Dr Seuss way

Junior College Sunninghill recently celebrated International Dr Seuss Day and World Book Day.

Back: Reece Magee, Aanya Naidu, Sandisiwe Mthembu, Willow Manyeka and Florence Mwanda. Front: Thiko Sadiki and Tatiana Maleka.

Principal Laverne Machiridza said, “What better way to celebrate International Dr Seuss Day and World Book Day than to read. All our children, big and tiny, came to school with their hats, bright and shiny.

Jake Koonin and teacher Sarah Ndlovu.

“Our teachers read a fun story to the children to honour Dr Seuss and all his glory.”

According to Machiridza, the children had a fun day rhyming away and enjoyed showing off their head gear with plenty of cheer.
