Jean Berdou, chairperson for the Douglasdale CPF said there were no fatalities and that the residents were evacuated safely, although it is not clear where the residents will live or what will happen to them.

“Emergency services from Diepsloot, Florida and Roodepoort were at the scene and a water tanker was provided.” said Berdou. He explained that an investigator will inspect the house and an investigation will be carried out.
