How to stay fit and healthy while on holiday

 

When we take a trip with our families for the school holidays, we all over indulge.

However, while taking a break from our daily lives, we don’t need to take a break from our diets or fitness regimes.

Here are a few ways to stay fit and healthy while on holiday:

  • Remain hydrated throughout your trip and drink plenty of water during your journey.
  • Pack your own snacks for the trip and include fresh fruit, raw vegetables, yoghurt, sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, nuts and dried fruit.
  • Schedule your workouts and all your exercise activities. Try to find free time for a long jog or even a few sit-ups.
  • Get active with family and friends, whether it be swimming in a pool or going to the beach or cycling through a new town.
  • Find good opportunities to walk instead of taking the car. Walking around whether it be for sightseeing or going to a restaurant or the beach.
