Schwarzenegger in Sandton for three-day sports festival


Africa’s largest sports festival will be taking place between 5 and 7 May for the Arnold Classic Africa.

World-renowned personality, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in Sandton to host a three-day health and fitness festival in partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Government, the City of Joburg and the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee.

Sporting events on offer include body-building, boxing, dance sports, gymnastics, pole fitness, power lifting, rowing, strong man pro, table tennis, weight lifting and so much more. The annual event will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre and will involve over 14 000 participants in more than 50 sports codes, as well as a three-day Health and Fitness Expo.

“We are pleased to welcome another internationally competitive list of entries for the Pro Fitness event. We are sure they will deliver an exciting competition while giving local athletes a rare chance to compete against the world’s best on home soil,” said Arnold Classic Africa partner, Wayne Price.

The Arnold Classic Africa, the largest multi-sports event of its kind on the continent, will host more than 14 000 participants in over 50 codes over three days of competition.
